Daily Activities
Our goals for your child are supported by our consistent daily routines and activities. When your child comes home, you will be able to talk about:
Decision Time: The environment for this daily activity is planned to include learning centers based on the children’s interests. These learning centers are developed to stimulate their imaginations and creativity, encourage socialization, exploration and discovery. Our learning centers include Writing, Library, Blocks, Sensory Table, Dramatic Play, Creative Arts, and Table Toys (such as puzzles, games, beading, etc.). Your child will be encouraged to work independently, in small groups, and/or one-on-one with a teacher in their area of interest. Clean-up is also part of Decision Time.
Circle Time: Children and teachers join together for stories, songs, dramatic play, and discussions. Through these activities your child can increase their attention span, build vocabulary, and practice taking turns. They gain understanding of the addition they make in a group, and then, acquire self-confidence as they learn to express themselves through discussion, music, and movement.
Outdoor Play: We go outside daily. Outdoor time is for running, jumping, climbing, and digging. It is a time for exploration of the natural world. Children build physical strength and coordination, develop large motor skills, learn healthy patterns of exercise, and practice cooperation through group games.
Snack/Lunch Time: Snack time is an important part of our day since it involves nutrition, science, hygiene, and social skills. While eating and sharing conversation with their peers and teachers, your child will also learn self-help skills and age appropriate manners will be practiced.
